    Shamel Hughes is a Recording Engineer, Educator, and Entrepreneur from Brooklyn, New York. Shamel has created his brand in the music industry as a recording engineer for over 10+ years working with various recording artists such as Busta Rhymes, Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande, H.E.R. and many more. He was the apprentice of Tommy Uzzo at Mirror Images Recorders in New York, NY and have grown through ranks of his crafts to mentor others in the arts. His talents in the recording arts and computer sciences allow him to work with companies such as Monster Media, and Audible Inc.

    He is also an educator in the multimedia arts and has been an instructor at the Institute of Audio Research; the oldest audio school in the world for 8+ years. Shamel Hughes have also created music production & media arts programs for organizations that support the arts and community development. As a certified Avid Pro Tools Instructor, Shamel has curated an adult Music Production education program at PioneerWorks in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. His philanthropy work continues throughout the community at Red Hook Initiative where he facilitates a music production & media arts program for middle school and high school students in the Red Hook community.

    Shamel Hughes created and founded his company Hughes Media Group in 2011; which specialize in creating content and providing many multimedia services. Shamel Hughes and his company are behind many new brands being launch in the New York City area and other locations around the country. What makes Shamel Hughes different from many others in his field is his drive, passion and open-minded ability to never see roadblocks, but; an opportunity to create a solution. Working closely with employers and/or clients, Shamel strengths would be the power to execute an idea and bring it to reality.
